Notice Board

I am tracing the history of my old 1933 Triumph car which was owned by a family from Waterlooville and I wondered if you could provide any information.

I am informed the the owners were called Way (two spinsters) who resided at Wellington Cottage, London Road.

Other names provided are Alex & Freda Campbell who had/have a son called Duncan (maybe residing in Petersfield).

The car was originally purchased from the United Services Garage, Portsmouth, which was owned by Major Douglas Sharp.

Thank you in anticipation of your help.

Regards, Les Wood

Hello - an excellent website. I wonder if you can help me. I am researching my father whose parents lived at 58 Lovedean Rd, Lovedean. Google's maps shows Lovedean as a tiny little place which couldn't have supported 60-odd houses. My interest is in Ernest and Florence Bailey who were certainly there in WWII and lived there until the deaths in (umm) the late 60's (still trying to find out when!!!) Thank you enormously for allowing me into your community and thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this.

Colin Bailey, Spain.
